The Previous Game


Back when i made the first RPG maker game i put on here, i had planned on having this type of setup for the battle royal but as i kept playing it, the lack of speed and the feeling of each turn being extremely slow and with how the AI couldn't interact with each other at all unless the player was following them during their turn, i decided to end that project and instead shift it into this, so instead of picking out of a team and slowly trying to earn enough points to beat the game and earn a victory screen before the AI beat you, i thought this would be more enjoyable of a design instead.

The characters were going to be the original protags for that first game but i just shifted everything over and used some of the old concepts i had before into this as enemies.
the secondary aspect that ended up being a boon was the AI stuff that got released while i was working on this, the production of my backgrounds characters and icons went from taking a week or two to draw myself and shifted into a few days, which did get extended because i had to train it off of everything i had built and drawn already to get it to have a good hypernetwork and embeddings, but overall i learned a lot, enough that now both stable diffusion and RPG maker make sense to me now, plus i've learned how to work with any RPG maker style engine.

Overall this was a good learning experience and it's going to help with forerunners ymir, which i was thinking of turning into an rpg and was originally planned to be an rpg from the start, the only issue was i couldn't figure out how to get it to be a first person exploration game the way i intended it to be.
Learning from this i've gained enough knowledge in how i want it to be made... however not with RPG maker, a newer more perfect engine that fit my needs got released funny enough, which i plan on doing a lot more with.
